The Asheville Jewish Leadership Collaborative was formed in 2006 for the purpose of enhancing communication and encouraging collaboration among the various organizations that serve the Asheville-area's Jewish organizations. Since then, the AJLC has grown from a forum for high level communications to an active committee comprised of leaders, both voluntary and professional, from every Jewish organization in the Asheville area. The Collaborative works to advance leadership, collaboration, and organizational excellence among its member organizations.
The Collaborative meets on the third Thursday of every month to discuss various issues and initiatives affecting the Jewish community, meetings are conducted by a Facilitator, and the agenda is set in advance by an Agenda Committee. The Secretary/Tzedek Intern is provided by the Amy Mandel and Katina Rodis Fund through the Asheville Jewish Community Center.
